Alexandra Elliott
DCh, MSc, BSc (Hons) - Head Chiropodist
Alexandra is our head Chiropodist at Royal City Foot Clinic. She first became interested in healthcare after pursuing a Biology degree with specialization in Health Science from Trent University. Alexandra then relocated to Guelph to pursue her Masters Degree in molecular biology, in which she studied the influenza virus. After completing her graduate studies and realizing she preferred a clinical setting over a laboratory, she enrolled in the Chiropody Program at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences. She has been in practice since 2016.
Alexandra is dedicated to working with her patients to help them with pain-free mobility. She is committed to keeping her knowledge current, and regularly engages in continuing education to maintain a pulse on new and emerging treatment modalities for her patients.
Alexandra is passionate about biomechanics, and specializes in treating plantar fasciitis, ankle instability, and other chronic pain conditions. She recently became certified as a “Barefoot Training Specialist” and is integrating foot strengthening and exercise into her pain management plans to optimize pain relief for patients. She also performs plantar fasciotomy surgery in the office when necessary.
In her downtime, Alexandra loves cooking, getting outside, running, and hanging out with her husband Nathan and two young children Nova, and Felix.
