ORTHOTIC PRESCRIPTIONS AND ASSESSMENTS

At Royal City Foot Clinic we specialize in comprehensive orthotic assessments and prescriptions to improve your foot health and enhance your quality of life. As chiropodists, we are uniquely qualified to provide both the prescription and provision of orthotics, offering a one-stop solution for all your foot care needs.

Chiropodists have specialized training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Our extensive knowledge of foot anatomy, biomechanics, and pathology enables us to accurately assess your foot health and prescribe orthotics tailored to your individual needs.

Orthotics are custom-made devices designed to support, align, or correct the function of the feet and lower limbs. These devices are commonly used to alleviate foot pain, improve biomechanical alignment, and enhance overall foot function.
When you visit our clinic for an orthotic assessment, you can expect a thorough evaluation of your foot structure, gait pattern, and biomechanics. We will take the time to understand your symptoms, lifestyle, and activity level to develop a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific concerns. Our goal is to identify the underlying cause of your foot issues and provide targeted solutions to alleviate discomfort and improve function.

After conducting a detailed assessment, we will design orthotics that provide the support, stability, and cushioning required to optimize your foot function and reduce pain.

Custom orthotics offer a range of benefits for individuals with foot conditions or biomechanical abnormalities, including:

  • Pain relief from conditions such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, and arthritis

  •  Correction of gait abnormalities and biomechanical imbalances

  • Prevention of foot deformities and injuries

  • Improved comfort and support during weight-bearing activities

  • Enhanced performance for athletes and active individual

Prescribed orthotics include a detailed biomechanical assessment, a detail of the casting technique, make and materials of the orthotics, manufacturer information including lab invoices, and licensing information, date of dispense, and any other information required for insurance submission. Our Orthotics are submittable to a patient benefit plan, including all required paperwork.
