CUSTOM FOOT ORTHOTICS

Chiropodists and podiatrists are the ONLY regulated health professionals whose scope of practice allows for the prescription and provision of orthotics.  With 7-8 years of education, Chiropodist and Podiatrist are experts in the use and manufacturing of orthotics. For this reason, many insurance companies require that orthotics be dispensed and prescribed by a Chiropodist/Podiatrist.

Custom Orthotics are required to deal with biomechanical and gait faults. Many different foot and lower limb conditions benefit from the use of orthotics. Each person’s foot is unique, for this reason, custom foot orthotics are the only foot orthotics considered medical equipment.

Tri-City Foot Clinic molds each orthotic to your foot through three-dimensional casting methods. Unlike arch supports which can be purchased “over-the-counter” a custom foot orthotic moves with the foot with every step taken. Orthotics affect the entire musculoskeletal system and provide the necessary corrections for an effective gait pattern. Orthotics can also protect the tender areas of your foot from the wear and tear of constant use.

Key Benefits of Custom Orthotics:

  • Optimal Support: Custom orthotics offer precise support to your feet, addressing individual needs and promoting proper alignment.

  • Pain Relief: By redistributing pressure and reducing stress on specific areas, custom orthotics can alleviate pain associated with conditions like plantar fasciitis, flat feet, or bunions.

  • Enhanced Comfort: The personalized fit ensures maximum comfort, allowing you to move with ease and minimizing fatigue.

How the Process Works:

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Our podiatrist conducts a thorough examination of your feet, including gait analysis and biomechanical assessment.

  • 3D -Casting techniques: Precise measurements of your feet are taken using advanced 3D scanning technology, plaster, or foam box casting, capturing every contour and detail.

  • Custom Design: Radius Labs uses the collected data to design orthotics that address your unique foot structure and biomechanics.

  • Manufacturing: The custom orthotics are meticulously manufactured using high-quality materials and cutting-edge techniques.

  • Fitting and Adjustment:  Your Chiropodist ensures that the custom orthotics fit seamlessly into your footwear, making any necessary adjustments for optimal comfort and support.
